Here there is two sub-subcategories of high power torch : Hid flashlight and Led flashlight .
So what is high power ? Here is the example of "High power flashlight" ( no matter hid or led) .

    Hid flashlight is a new technology of lighting generation , there is high pressure xenon gas instead of filament inside the bulb , the ballast get 12V DC power from battery but generate 23KV DC on the pole between the gas capsule , then xenon gas become emitt strong light , because lighting comes out from Xenon gas directly , the conversion of power is extreme high and lumin can reach incredible 3000 lumin . That is the brightest flashlight in the world . It is suitable to use in some typical area , like searching , rescue , hunting etc.

    Led flashlight category are mainly high power tactical led flashlight , like CREE , P7,  R2. These models of led beads are so advanced that there is no other technology can replace it at present ,  the advantage is high conversion of power , simple structure , long life , small size , but high lumin output . The brightest one can reach 900 lumin . It is suitable for normal activity but need to bright much like camping .
